Setup a Custom HTTP export with FHIR data

The Body Evaluation app can export your data using the industry-standard FHIR data format. The data can be sent to any server you choose, including a variety of popular EHRs and even your own custom web server.

  1. Collect your EHR or web server’s listening URL and optional API key or credentials
  2. Enter the URL and optional credentials into the Body Evaluation app
  3. Export your patient’s PDF documentation to your EHR or server

Using a Cliniko system? Setup a Cliniko connection instead of a custom one.

1. Find your EHR or web server URL and API keys

Sign into your EHR and look through the advanced setup settings. You want to find the settings related to “integration” or “connections” or “importing”.

Follow the instructions provided by your EHR and get their URL starting with https://. The EHR may also provide you with an API key; you’ll need that as well.

If you are using a custom web server maintained by your company, you should work with your local IT professional. They will be able to provide you with the integration criteria you need to setup the connection below.

2. Enter the URL and credentials into Body Evaluation

Enter your EHR information into the app so the app can interact with your EHR system. The app will send completed patient assessments and links to PDF documents.

  • Open the Body Evaluation app and from the home screen tap the Settings Gear in the top left corner.
  • Under the Data Export section choose “Custom HTTP with FHIR data”.
  • Enter the URL starting with https://, the sending method, and the authentication information. You will need to work with your IT professional to ensure all settings are configured correctly.
  • Tap Send a sample record to test the connection.

3. Export your patient data to your EHR or custom server

After your Custom HTTP configuration is complete you will have a new button on the list of each patient’s encounters. The Export button will upload that encounter’s PDF documentation to your EHR system.

The EHR system (or your custom server) controls how that data is saved and displayed to you. Please contact them to learn where to find your imported data.
